Outpatient
It’s all about the road less traveled. An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a comprehensive, focused program for an individual who has completed 30, 60 or 90 days of inpatient treatment, or may be recommended for those feeling vulnerable in their recovery. IOP offers program of support, therapy, community, and other outpatient services for those able to continue living at home or in a sober living facility. We can assist you in finding the right IOP for you, so you can participate in your community while accessing the support needed to begin or continue a successful journey of recovery.
When a client lives at Sober Living of Malibu, we assist with transportation to any Outpatient Programs.
Intervention
An intervention is a planned meeting that allows family and friends to confront a loved one about their alcoholism and/or addiction. A professional interventionist helps facilitate this meeting by ensuring effective communication, in a non- judgmental, non-threatening way, to best allow the addict/alcoholic to see the damage that they are doing to themselves as well as to those who care about them. Depending upon the circumstances, clergy members, religious figures, respected colleagues, and other members of the community may also be included in the process. This effort is one of compassion with a focus on clarifying the need for treatment. There is also an emphasis on consequences if treatment is refused. The intervention can be a difficult process for all concerned. To ease this discomfort, and lend a bit of structure and unbiased mediation to the process, a professional interventionist may be the perfect solution.

Who to Include on your Intervention Team
